Signposts for Sustrans route 5 are all over the place! I know that it's a point where you can either go to Banbury or Oxford so they would point in opposite directions but if you follow the signs you go down the totally wrong road, then … [more]
Cycle way from Burford to the start of the road to Westwell. The A40 is busy and traffic is very fast, causing dangerous overtaking of cyclists. A cycleway would provide safe transition of cyclists from burford onto the country lanes.
Cycle path to make cycling safe along this section of the A40. The problem is the high volume of traffic and high speeds, making cycling scary and motorists often present with road rage.
Re-connect the old railway line to the upgraded bridleway here to provide a fast cycle commuting route from Whitney to Eynsham
Improve the very rough surface on this section of bridleway to permit it to be used as a fast cycle commuting route between Eynsham and Witney
Divert the existing bridleway onto the old railway line. This section of bridleway can currently not be cycled by anyone other than a cyclocross champion.
Restore the old railway line to replace the parallel bridleway. The muddy hill on the bridleway would be removed and cycling with an ordinary commuting bike would be possible
Remove newly painted give lines for cyclists at many minor field/house entrances. Cyclists should have right of way.
Very fast road and very dangerous for cyclists: needs a cycle path! Would link A4095 and A40 cycle tracks and link Eynsham to Hanborough rail station.
Gap here on A4095 cycle track from Witney to Long Hanborough. Needs a new path constructing between Common Road and Park Road.
Ongoing northbound cyclists required to give way to turning traffic. Road access by dropped kerb required before the bus-stop. Planners read your highway code.
There should be a south-bound cycleway here. Also the northbound one is too narrow for people & cyclists to pass.
One chap killed last year. Several injured over recent times and fast, heavy traffic, double white lines, no room for two vehicles and one bicycle abreast. Need an off road cycle and walking path
Allow local people from Combe and Stonesfield villages to cycle to Woodstock via Blenheim park which would avoid the need to use fast main roads.
Widening and resurfacing of A44 pavement/cyclepath between the B4437/A44 (Judds Garage) junction and Woodstock.
Cycleway/path through Blenheim for local residents (a cycling pass?) so as the A44 can be avoided whilst cycling to/from Woodstock and beyond.
From this point all the way to Woodstock, or to the junction with B4437 at Ditchley Gate/Blenheim palace, if Blenheim allow cyclists through their grounds to Woodstock. Our children could cycle to school safely, adults could commute via … [more]
Cycle path is narrow and in a unusable state. Very hard to cycle along A44. Path is either unusable or disappears through Woodstock or switches sides. Terrible route for a cyclist. Needs joined up thinking and then to be maintained.if you … [more]
Allow local people from Combe and Stonesfield villages to cycle to Woodstock via Blenheim park which would avoid the need to use fast main roads.
This bridle way (Eynsham to South Leigh) is very hard to cycle particularly other than in summer. This is a much safer and nicer route to commute to Witney, and if more suitable for cycles it would encourage much more commuting than along … [more]
No entry from High Street forces cyclists to dismount and walk along narrow pavement close to pedestrians. A cycle contraflow would help here.
Roundabout difficult to cross for cyclists as cars don’t stop in the cycle band, and there is little visibility to cross (South side going East to West), plus North West side path is muddy and overgrown with vegetation
A cycle lane is badly needed from Stanton Harcourt to Eynsham. This B road is too dangerous to cycle on due to the constant use of it by haulage trucks who ignore routing agreements.
This road is impossible to cross at almost any time. Either a bridge or traffic light needs to be installed for pedestrians/cycling crossing
Create cycleway link from Carterton Road to playing field - would allow Brize Meadow/Carterton kids to get to primary school without going through dangerous and congested village centre
Widen the Corn St from Lowell Place/ New Inn to Swinburn place, widen and parking bay to fit cars in, remove Island and create a 1m wide cycle lane between parked cars and road
Create a cycle lane from Minster to Witney sports ground along the Burford Road to link into existing
Create a Cycle path along the A40 to Witney at the same time widening this stretch to duel Carriage way
Improve Cycle path and foot path from Curbridge Road Roundabout to Ducklington Lane following Dearpark Road (EastSide)
Whole A40 cycle route needs the foliage and soil creep cutting back. 1/3 of route width lost in places- impossible to pass and social distance. Grass overgrown. Where grass has been cut the debris has been spread accross the path increasing … [more]
The cycleway is littered with driveways and side roads. It is impossible to make meaningful progress at a decent speed. Path is only on one side of the Road and doesn't link up with junctions. Quicker and easier to use the road.
Main route through carterton to RAF Brize Norton main gate, dangerous entrance with no cycle paths. Main employer in the area with approx 8000 people working there. Need a safe way of accessing the main gate. Currently crossing a mini … [more]
Single carriageway road, no path or verge to cycle or walk on. Main link road between Carterton and the wider Witney area which has cyclepaths.
