Cars travelling through narrow routes in the centre of Charlbury. Put a no entry sign to make this a no-through road except to buses

Closure on one of the northbound lanes approaching the junction with the A44 to allow wider pavements around the pinch-point on this corner.

Cattle Market could be closed to through traffic to allow more space for pedestrians around the Town Hall, Mash Pantry and The Fox pub.

The Green should have traffic restrictions during school times to avoid severe congestion on the narrow footways at drop-off and pick-up times, and allow people to walk in the road.

Pavement along the top of the High Street could be widened by cordoning off the road where people park illegally during the day. This would give significantly more space for social distancing .

Pedestrianise from here to Buttercross

Prec=vent traffic from using as a rat run

Stop through traffic using narrow residential street

Used as shortcut, narrow/non-existent pavement

Road used as a short cut (rat run) to avoid main roads

Close road to through traffic now that Downs Road roundabout is open. Reserve it for local access, cyclists and possibly buses too

Remove traffic lights and Divert traffic from Welchway up Woodford way

Pedestrianise Market Sq and High St to Junction with Witan Way

Pedestrianise Highstreet from Witan Way to the Buttercross

Cycleway closed to to roadworks several miles further east - of course no-one can be expected to actually ride on the highway....
